Voice Server Help

Connecting to Ventrilo

• You should know the following things before attempting to connect to any Ventrilo server:
  1. The servers hostname or IP
  2. The port of the server
  3. If it's password protected, obtain the password
• Before connecting to any server, make sure you configure your sound options. You can do this in the Setup section of the Ventrilo interface.
• Select the '->' button by the top window, you'll input your user name here. Click the 'new' button, enter your desired name. This is how people will see you listed in the Ventrilo server.
• Now, select the '->' button by 'Server'. Select the 'new' button as before, and input the server name. Use this to remember what Ventrilo server it is!
• Select the 'Hostname or IP', and put in the information accordingly.
• Repeat the same processes as detailed above, this time for the port option.
• If the server has a password, select the password box and put the provided password there. Leave this blank if there is no pass.
• Click 'ok' to return to the main Ventrilo window, and than 'connect' to join the server you've just input the information for.
